What an interesting course! We, through the course, deeply understand the Good to Great’s concepts which helped Good companies made a leap to Great ones. This understanding pushes up our determination in applying these concepts for recent managing procedures. My sales department will focus on improving company’s culture by adding more new values in order to fit new targets. For example, we focus not only on having new people on the bus but also on putting them into the right seats at the first time. Moreover, to right people in wrong seats, we will reallocate them. To wrong people in wrong seats, they should be taken off the bus. To right people in right seats, we will encourage their enthusiasm.
Mr. Pham Trung Lam- National Sales Director - Masan Group

I found “The Hedgehog Concepts” my favorite concept. It’s very simple to understand but very hard to answer. It takes time, patience, consistent to define “The Hedgehog” by answering the three questions: “What you are deeply passionate about?”, “What you can be the best in the world at?”, “What drives your economic engine?”. The intersection of these three circles is the place where people “fight” for their company. Another favorite concepts of mine is the “Stop doing list”. It helps us stop irrelevant stuffs which do not create real value and pay more attention to our “Hedgehog”. Fantastic!
Ms. Pham Thi To Tram - Senior Brand Manager - Masan Group

“After attending the course, I encouraged my managers to read the book and gave them a briefing session on "good to great". Yes, they are all excited to build a great company together. The hedgehog concept changed my thinking of the direction forward for my company. Before this, among our management, we were all excited about diversification into different fields. Now we realize that we have to focus on what we are best at. Many companies in Vietnam are having painful lessons for this "diversification" mistakes with the downturn of security and real-estate markets. It changes my management style in several ways including learning & practicing level 5 leadership traits, creating environment where you can receive "red flag' alerts, and recruiting right people for the right jobs. Great!”
Mr. Tran Duc Huy - Deputy General Director - Vinh Tuong Industrial Corporation
