Profiles International Chief Research Officer, Scott Hamilton, Ph.D., has been elected to serve on the board of the Association of Test Publishers for a two-year term starting in 2012.
At Profiles International, a global leader in employee assessment solutions, Dr. Hamilton has lead the research and development team ensuring the validity and science behind the assessments since 1995.
“There are a lot of guidelines put out by professional organizations including ATP, and we want to make sure our products meet or exceed those guidelines. All of our products are scientifically developed, reliable and appropriate for their intended use,” Dr. Hamilton said.
He has a master's degree and PhD in clinical psychology and counseling with a minor in research. In addition to his position with the Association of Test Publishers, he is a member of numerous other professional organizations including the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the Association for Psychological Science, and the International Test Commission.
This won’t be Dr. Hamilton’s first time serving for the Association of Test Publishers. He was also on the board of directors in 2006 through 2008.
As a board member of the Association of Test Publishers (ATP), Hamilton joins a skilled and experienced team of test publishing professionals and practitioners. The ATP is a non-profit, member-run organization representing providers of tests and assessment tools and/or services related to assessment, selection, screening, certification, licensing, educational or clinical uses. The organization’s purpose is to promote and advance the integrity of assessment services and products and their value to society.
